Door Installation Technician

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, repair, and replace residential and commercial doors, including entry doors, patio doors, storm doors, and interior doors.
• Measure door frames and openings accurately to ensure proper fit and alignment.
• Install hardware, including hinges, locks, handles, and weather stripping.
• Use power tools and hand tools to cut, shape, and fit doors.
• Inspect doors for proper functionality, alignment, and security before completing installations.
• Provide excellent customer service, addressing customer concerns and questions professionally.
• Ensure that all installations comply with safety regulations and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment at job sites.
• Communicate with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient and timely project completion.
• Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues as they arise.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in door installation or a related field is a must.
• Proficiency with power tools and hand tools, including drills, saws, and levelers.
• Strong understanding of door hardware, installation techniques, and safety standards.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and technical drawings.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers.
• Physical stamina to handle the demands of the job, including lifting heavy doors and working in various weather conditions.

Education and Certification:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license, 10 year driving record and reliable transportation.
• Certifications or training related to carpentry or construction are a plus.

Working Conditions:

• Work will be performed at various residential and commercial job sites.
• Regular use of power tools and heavy lifting is required.
• May involve working in various weather conditions or at elevated heights.
