Key Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and replace residential and commercial doors, including entry doors, patio doors, storm doors, and interior doors.
- Measure door frames and openings accurately to ensure proper fit and alignment.
- Install hardware, including hinges, locks, handles, and weather stripping.
- Use power tools and hand tools to cut, shape, and fit doors.
- Inspect doors for proper functionality, alignment, and security before completing installations.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing customer concerns and questions professionally.
- Ensure that all installations comply with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment at job sites.
- Communicate with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient and timely project completion.
- Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues as they arise.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in door installation or a related field is a must.
- Proficiency with power tools and hand tools, including drills, saws, and levelers.
- Strong understanding of door hardware, installation techniques, and safety standards.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and technical drawings.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers.
- Physical stamina to handle the demands of the job, including lifting heavy doors and working in various weather conditions.
Education and Certification:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license, 10 year driving record and reliable transportation.
- Certifications or training related to carpentry or construction are a plus.
Working Conditions:
- Work will be performed at various residential and commercial job sites.
- Regular use of power tools and heavy lifting is required.
- May involve working in various weather conditions or at elevated heights.
